Biography

Alfonso has lengthy experience in the field of contentious and non-contentious administrative law matters, public-private partnerships (PPP), public sector procurement contracts for works, services and supplies, public works concessions, project financing, public sector procedures, as well as the performance phase of public procurement contracts and of local public services.

Prior to joining SZA, he worked for leading Italian and international law firms, where he gained valuable experience in a broad spectrum of administrative law matters, assisting multinational corporations in judicial and non-contentious issues concerning public procurement, local public services and regulatory matters (e.g. gas distribution, transport, waste management, water service).

After graduating cum laude from LUISS University (2006), he attended a Master’s in “Administrative Law and Process”, at Just Legal Services, Milan (October 2009 / July 2010).

Alfonso has edited the foreign language publications: “The Government Procurement Review “, chapter on Italy, co-authors Maria Vittoria La Rosa and Filippo Bucchi, 2013 and 2014; “Changes to European Electricity and Gas Market – Chapter 11: The electricity market in Italy”, Allen & Overy LLP, London, UK. He graduated from LUISS University, Rome, in 2006 and was admitted to Milan Bar in 2010.
