Biography

Lawyer, collaborates with the Commercial and Civil Litigation and Civil Liability and Insurance Law Teams, supporting them in lawsuits and in legal advising.

Research Fellow at Università degli Studi di Milano, where he also teaches Analisi economica del diritto privato [Economic Analysis of Private Law] and Diritto comparato della climate change litigation [Comparative Climate Change Litigation].

He earned the Italian National License for Teaching Private Law as University Associate Professor in 2019, and that for Comparative Private Law in 2020.

The Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei awarded him the Premio “Antonio Feltrinelli Giovani” 2022 per le Scienze Giuridiche, a prize for Italian scholars under 40 years of age, who have achieved results of clear originality, autonomy and international relevance thus contributing, also in perspective, to the strengthening of Italy’s scientific role.

Carlo has authored a scholarly book (Linee guida e responsabilità civile del medico. Dall’esperienza americana alla legge Gelli-Bianco, Giuffrè, 2019) and other scientific publications on Tort Law, Contract Law, Environmental and Climate Change Law, and Privacy. He is Member of the Editorial Board of Diritto e Salute. Rivista di sanità e responsabilità medica and of Rivista Giuridica dell’Ambiente. He has also been Visiting Student Researcher at the University of California at Berkeley (2015), Visiting Ph.D. Student at Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg (2016), and Visiting Researcher at Cornell University (2019).

In 2013 he graduated summa cum laude from Università degli Studi di Milano, from which he also earned a Ph.D. in National and International Legal Studies in 2017. He is a registered lawyer in Milan since 2020.
